Who We Are

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) strives to ensure the whole community is prepared for significant disasters occurring in Santa Clara County. OEM maintains readiness to support disaster response, recovery, and mitigation.

Emergencies and disasters can happen without warning. But you can plan ahead! Building resilient communities takes prepared community members who are willing and able to look out not just for themselves but to also look out for others. It takes everyone - government, local law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, and community members, coming and working together to recover from an emergency or disaster.

Together, we can build resilient communities and establish a culture of emergency preparedness by being prepared community members.
